His size, street smarts, and ability to craft a convincing persona allowed him to gain the trust of high-ranking mobsters, including captain Gregory DePalma, who nearly inducted him as a made man. García spent years attending Mafia meetings, gathering crucial evidence, and living in constant danger, knowing one misstep could lead to his death. His work led to the arrest of 32 Gambino members and severely weakened the crime family.
